‘Yesterday’s Safaris Today’
August 8th Masai Mara Safari
During a great week in the Mara we had some wet afternoons which led to some great shooting opportunities for something different. I wanted to find a pride of wet lions and, as usual, they were delivered. To also see them hunt and the cubs playing was an added bonus.
On the theme of trying to get some different shots on this trip, I tried some low level shooting, which was nicknamed ‘grass cam’ This was really challenging, shooting wide-angle at close range when you have to preset the camera was sometimes hit and miss....but it was a lot of fun and I was happy with the first results.
